Parish Pastoral Council
As our Archdiocese looks to the future, one of the challenges we must prepare for is increased lay responsibility in the parish’s everyday affairs. Additionally, at Guardian Angels, we must strive to build on the organizational structure in place to encourage even greater participation and attainment of loftier goals in our worship, ministry and education. The Cornerstone Project was developed to address these needs.
The work of the parish is grouped into five boards (Worship, Ministry, Education/Faith Formation, Operations, Stewardship) addition to parish and school staff. Each of these five boards contains members-at-large and representatives from the larger parish service organizations (PSOs) grouped underneath them. Members-at-large to the various boards are elected each May. The individual boards manage the business of these areas. Each board chair who has been appointed by the pastor each spring sits on Parish Pastoral Council to ensure communication among the groups.
PPC shall oversee all parish functions and set the tone and direction of the parish. Each year, it will assist the boards in striving to accomplish their objectives.
